FAQ

  • Where does the money you earn go?

We are a non-profit who are aiming to be registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We’re formed of a committee and governed by a constitution that prevents any member from profiting from the society.
Furthermore, we’re proud to be helping The Hive by contributing directly towards their running costs with our regular session hire.
Finally, we are committed to creating a net positive impact on our local area, and have an established track record of supporting local charities and organisations.
Please ask a committee member if you would like more information.

  • Where are you based?

We run sessions predominantly in Fife’s LGBTQ+ community space, The Hive. It is located on Whytescauseway in Kirkcaldy, immediately next to the bus station and a short walk from the High Street. It is housed in a former furniture store.

  • How much do sessions cost?

Your first time is free! Thereafter:

    Adults: £5 per session

    13-18yr olds: £3 per session

    Under 13’s: Free

Under 13’s do need a parent/guardian with them, but they will not be charged unless they want to particpate.

We also offer a Legends tier which costs £30 per calendar month and offers unlimited gaming for this price as well as some other perks.

  • Where can I park?

For most sessions, parking around The Hive is free of charge (after 6pm and Sundays). Spaces on Whytescauseway are limited, however there are usually spaces around Kirkcaldy Townhouse which is very close by and free at these times.
On Saturday free parking is less abundant, but still available. East Fergus Place is recommended; This is the one-way street that joins Abbotshall Road to the top part of Whytescauseway, at the town square.

  • How old do I have to be to attend?

You can be any age to participate!

We have varying age ranges depending on the session and in our Code of Conduct we have rules to keep under 18s safe.

We ask that any under 13s are accompanied by an adult, they will not be charged unless they too would like participate.

  • I'm nervous about attending!

We provide a safe space for anyone who would like to join in on one of our gaming sessions.

Not everyone arrives at 6pm and some of us who are nervous will tend to get down a little earlier than 6pm so we can get a spot we like.

There is always a committee member available at every session, take a look at our committee members page and familiarise yourself with us. We don’t bite. Promise!
